AIDA TRAINING - Bar Advanced

COURSE STRUCTURE

The course is arranged so as to include both theory and practical sessions.  The theory lessons deal with general subjects such as:

1. Aida Vision, Mission and Corporate Values.

2. International standards of Quality, Ethics, Environmental Compliance, Safety and Security.

3. Life onboard, organization and discipline

 

 

The practical lessons focus on the Bar operations of Aida  onboard such as:

• Use of cash register
• Use of bar equipment
• Preparation and decoration of cocktails
• Beverage order taking
• Serving beverages
• Liqueurs , cordials and cocktails
• Coffee and tea knowledge and service
• Alcohol serving responsibility

 

All the practical training is done in mock-up bars, simulating the real work situation on board.

Course prerequisites:

Diploma of established school (at least 1 year)

At least one year working experience in service industry or shipboard

At least 21 years of age at the time of commencement of the course

Fluent in English, possibly basic German & good communication skills

Other candidates are evaluated on a one-to-one basis
